Judas Creek Disc Golf Course
Marsh Lake, Yukon
This small, community-built course is located in the Judas Creek subdivision, around 45 minutes east of downtown Whitehorse. This course is the location of the legendary Burl Cup, a Canada Day tradition spearheaded by passionate local community members. This course was home to some of the best-built tone cans in the Yukon but as of 2024 these will be replaced with real baskets.
The Marsh Lake area is part of an interconnected lake system spanning 2 provinces/territories, the Southern Lakes. This lake system has long been used by several Yukon First Nations as traditional hunting, trapping, and fishing grounds, due to its wide variety in biodiversity and geography. The ice-cold waters and undeveloped surrounding lands make this part of the Yukon something special for the outdoor travelers, hunters, and fishers who visit the area today.
There is a Yukon Government day-use area nearby as well as several public beaches (never traverse somebody's property to access the waterfront), as well as an interpretive center (Swan Haven), making this course worth making into a day trip.
The parking area is at the Judas Creek Community center starting just on the left as you enter the Community Centre driveway.
This course is developed by and for the local community, so please be respectful of the area, keep your dogs under control and pick up waste, and always try to bring out more garbage than you take in.
