Solstice Discgolfpark
Whitehorse, Yukon
Solstice is one of the first official DiscGolfPark courses installed in Canada. Located near the Yukon University campus in the traditional territory of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and the Ta'an Kwäch'än Council, this disc golf course is situated in the protected McIntyre Creek (Chasàn Chùa) sub-watershed. McIntyre Creek sources from the high alpine above Fish Lake, resulting in frigid clear water that supports a healthy and diverse aquatic ecosystem which makes it a popular spot for fishing. The surrounding sub-watershed is home to all the usual denizens of the Yukon wilderness, from bears to deer to ground squirrels. This course is rapidly becoming the most-played in the Yukon, so please treat the area with care and pack out what you pack in. For more information on the natural setting visit this link.
The course consists of an official 9-hole course (pro and amateur pads) and several customized local courses that play through the same area. The only official signage is for the 9-hole course so if you want to play any of the non-official layouts you’ll have to trust UDisc or come to a WDGA night!
The parking area is down a well-maintained gravel road branching to your left on the road to Yukon University. Park in front of the pump house or anywhere in the vicinity, except on the asphalt foot path.
Full layouts can be found on UDisc.
